     Frances Tope, daughter of John Tope and Mary Helmick, was born 14 February 1799 and died 17 August 1883. She married Samuel Rowland [see note], who was born 21 May 1799 and died 10 Mar 1882.

Their children:

1. Thomas Rowland was born 1 October 1821 and died 4 November 1890.  He married Jane Wilson and later married Martha J. Davidson.
2. John Rowland was born 11 March 1823 and died around 1848.  He married Levina Wilson.
3. Robert Rowland was born 21 January 1835 and died 8 April 1898.  He married Elizabeth Palmer.
4. Joseph W. Rowland was born 22 March 1827 and died 3 Jul 1907.  He married Caroline Caldwell.
5. Mary Ann Rowland was born about 1828.  She married George W. Vance.
6. Abraham Rowland was born 31 May 1832 and died about 1890.  He married Sarah Ann Jones and later married Lucy Ann Ervin.
7. Enoch Rowland was born 25 May 1834, and married Christina Walters.
8. Elizabeth Rowland was born 14 May 1836, and married Travis Price.
9. George Rowland was born 26 February 1838 and died 2 July 1913.  He married Caroline Adrian.
10. Delilah Rowland was born 7 June 1843 and died 7 May 1863.
11. Achsah Rowland was born 2 January 1846 and died 15 January 1846.
